Let's look at the current RealClearPolitics map...

realclearpolitics.com

They have Obama 238, McCain 174, and 126 for tossup.

The tossup states are: NV, NM, CO, VA, NC, MI, NH, FL, OH, IN.

I see NM, MI, and CO going for Obama at the moment.

I see NV, VA, NC, NH, FL, OH, and IN going for McCain at the moment...Yet, It's very possible some of those could switch over to Obama as they are extremely close...In fact I feel Obama has some strong momentum in states like VA and IN right now.

Here's the crazy thing. My original scenario might mean a 269-269 tie...Yet, I really don't expect that to happen.

Some of the key states to me are VA, CO, FL, and OH because I think those could switch to either person and they all carry a significant amount of electoral votes.

I think Obama has a chance to win BIG this November and the Dems may even get 60 seats in the Senate too (a working majority)...This is clearly "a change election" and the economic trends favor Obama and the Dems in a very powerful way...and we need to realize which party ran a better convention...Obama's campaign also has more funding and a superior ground game and that will make a difference in some of the close states.
