I don't know how anyone could answer that, Kate.
Once given life, we cling to it desperately. Only a very few will succumb to despair and attempt suicide.

But I am not sure that's a reason to keep every fertilized egg.

In an ideal world, we would never have an unwanted child. But we don't have an ideal world.

I realize that this conflicts with the life at conception, a soul in every fertilized egg view, and I see no way to reconcile these views- except to leave it up to each woman and her God.
