No doubt, something just occurred to me watching McCain today at the rally. He sure looks like he's having a great time now that Sarah Palin is traveling with him. I can't think of a better person to introduce him to a younger generation of Americans. It really was a brilliant political move to ask her to run on the ticket. When you see the mother of a soldier saying she wants him to be the Commander in Chief. That's real. Her son's life is on the line. It's not some phony intellectual exercise in what if's, coming from a parent who doesn't have a child in harms way. It's real. Whether McCain wins or loses, it gives me pleasure to see him enjoying himself the way he is now. After hearing his story over and over during the convention, and what he went through as a prisoner of war. He deserves that.
