Eric, you get to buy the Tesla, because you're rich, and I'll buy the MiEV, which will get 70 miles per charge with a top speed of 70 mph, and will be inexpensive enough for the rank and file. That works for all my commuting needs and will work for 99% of Americans who do nothing but city driving. When I need to driver further, I'll drive my VOLT, which will be for the upper middle class. Both are due on retailer's parking lots in the next 2 years.

I love hearing all the naysayers now. It will be very interesting to take note of all the names and revisit this discussion 5 years from now. I know I'll still be here, since I've been here since 1996. I hope we're all still on this thread by then, so we can say, "I told you so." That phrase is one of life's little treasures. :)
