I think people tend to underestimate the amount of change that will happen in the long run while overestimating the amount of change that will happen in the short run.

5 years from now pure electrics will still be a niche, a somewhat larger niche, but not a major portion of the cars on the road, or even a very large part of the new cars being sold.

But eventually I could see all, or at least the vast majority of, cars being electric cars.
