A very odd reaction, c2. If Troopergate is everything Palin's enemies say it is, then it's still a nothing scandal. The Governor fired a Commissioner who works at her pleasure over a personnel disagreement, this is the big scandal? say what? As for her daughter's pregnancy, everybody in the McCain camp says they knew, and from their handling of it, they plainly did know.

No, once you drop the odd assumption that McCain will keel over the day after inauguration, there is nothing partcularly odd about Palin as a VP. Young men on the rise have been picked before, many times. Only now it's a woman. It's only with Cheney that VP has been turned into a kind of cabinet post.
