Bush spent money like the proverbial drunken sailor. He allowed his administration to become the creature of various special interests. He represents the country club Republicans. They (Rove) looked down on the social conservatives and laughed at them, behind their backs.

They rejected the Regan conservatives. They allowed people like DeLay to take control of an increasingly corrupt Republican Congress.

The people who got left behind are the blue-collar union guy, the Regan democrat, and the white-collar cubicle worker. Bush trashed the brand.

He also started a war that it took him five years to win. You cannot start a war in America if you can't win quickly. Everybody has known that since Viet Nam, and he should have, too. Then when it didn't happen, he didn't react.

Pretaues is a lucky accident for Bush and the Republicans. Bush has taken a party that should have been in the majority for a generation, and has put it in a position where it is fighting for its life.

Palin is McCain's choice. She actually might represent the beginning of a renewal for the party. Talk about Luck.

28 years of the Bushes. The son was worse than the father, and the father was bad. They represent the elites, not the people. What upsets me is that they made the far left represented by Obama possible.

Even if you don't agree, you have to admit Bush and Rove have left the party weaker and worse off than before their administration. If MoveOn and the left hadn't over reached in selecting Obama, McCain and Palin wouldn't have a chance.

The one thing we have going for us is the arrogance of the elite left.
