If you sever corporate welfare you are unelectable since you won't get lobby money- I am amazed if you don't understand that. I'm not sure what "the people not standing for it" has to do with anything. "The people" wanted out of Iraq- you note that the government ignored them. And the president doesn't even need to pay attention to congress for 90 days. As Cheney says about "the people" and what they want - "So what". Your "theoretical" is just a way to say you find the "maybe" doesn't work for you. But then again, you might be really wrong in your risk assessment. youtube.com
