Well that's really been my point all along. We define murder as the "unlawful killing of a human being". Of course it's arbitrary- the law can define all kinds of exceptions. To kill for your country during war isn't murder. To kill in self defense isn't murder. Why? Because we like those kinds of killing.

Of COURSE you can define all moral things down to "I like it, or "my God likes it, or I don't like it, or "My God doesn't like it"- that's why it's nice to keep the number of morality based laws to a minimum, and let people make their own decisions. Because yeah, all moral decisions come down to that- that's why there is often no consensus on these issues.

What, in your opinion, is not realistic about that? And what framework can you give the issue? Have you got an objective standard for moral positions- and if you don't have one, aren't they all "He said, she said, my God said, your God said"? Really? When you get right down to the bottom of the issue?
