Do you write your own material or just get your inspiration from the Kos kids and HuffPo?
I'd be more concerned with the anti-free speech attitudes of your left-leaning brethren, including those undertaken by your guy, Obama, and his henchmen if I were you.
For example, even Politico admits to the letters written to the DOJ to stop ads Obama didn't like: politico.com
You'll see here that the Obama team took like action during the primary against a 527 supporting Hillary:

It was also reported that Obama and his team needed a sit-down with Fox before he would deign to appear on that station. He obviously wanted to have some control over content:
washingtonpost.com
The Obama team didn't like Stanley Kurtz snooping around in the Annenberg files or discussing the Ayers connection so they encouraged repressive tactics from their minions:

He quoted the Obama campaign email to its disciples as follows:
In the next few hours, we have a crucial opportunity to fight one of the most cynical and offensive smears ever launched against Barack. Tonight, WGN radio is giving right-wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears. He's currently scheduled to spend a solid two-hour block from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. pushing lies, distortions, and manipulations about Barack and University of Illinois professor William Ayers. Tell WGN that by providing Kurtz with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear-merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse. Call into the "Extension 720" show with Milt Rosenberg at (312) 591-7200 (Show airs from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. tonight) Then report back on your call at my.barackobama.com. Kurtz has been using his absurd TV appearances in an awkward and dishonest attempt to play the terrorism card. His current ploy is to embellish the relationship between Barack and Ayers. Just last night on Fox News, Kurtz drastically exaggerated Barack's connection with Ayers by claiming Ayers had recruited Barack to the board of the Annenberg Challenge. That is completely false and has been disproved in numerous press accounts. It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves. At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz's lies. Kurtz is scheduled to appear from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Chicago market. Calling will only take a minute, and it will make a huge difference if we nip this smear in the bud. Confront Kurtz tonight before this goes any further:
The campaign also offered this advice:
Tips for making your call: Be honest, but be civil. Be persistent. It may take a few attempts to get through to the show. Just keep trying. Your call is important. Use the talking points above to help you speak confidently and concisely.
Notice the language employed in the talking points. It's anything but civil.
I was amused by the blogger's characterization that this email never suggested rudeness or urged censorship. What a joke.
Did you also notice that Team Obama neglected to tell its sheeple precisely what his connection to Ayers was? That would have been nice. Obviously, they are used to blind acceptance of marching orders.
More jack-booted thuggery by the left was planned by Tom Mazzie and his group. Mazzie is a former moveon.org denizen and someone quite representative of the tactics of the left.
sourcewatch.org According to this link:
On August 8, 2008, the New York Times reported that [4] Tom Matzzie's group, Accountable America has sent a letter "to confront donors to conservative groups, hoping to create a chilling effect that will dry up contributions." He has described the effort as, "going for the jugular." The letter warns "donors who might be considering giving to right-wing groups [of] legal trouble, public exposure and watchdog groups digging through their lives."
You're probably enjoying the above-described tactics because of the side you're on. However, I'd suggest that you might want to rethink such tactics. It is particularly ironic that the people who whined loudest and longest about alleged incursions into privacy under the Patriot Act think nothing of this type of behavior.
Let's have a little drumroll for the fascism of the Left........ |
