Well, the former(??) CEO of BP actually was quite an advocate of alternate/green energy and environmental issues. The oil companies can either by like American car companies or like the Japanese ones: Don't anticipate change and try to keep milking the cash cow, or try and anticipate the change, and be positioned to benefit from it. Which strikes you as the better approach for the CEO of an oil company?
