When I was a practicing CPA and one of my clients got a tax audit, if the IRS couldn't turn anything up on the client they would usually come back with some meaningless crap that was totally without consequence. In that instance, I always advised my clients they were fine; if IRS had anything on them, they wouldn't be focusing on this unimportant garbage.

The same is true for the Palin bashing. If they ACTUALLY had anything on her, we'd be seeing it. But trooper gate is nothing. This bogus party affiliation is nothing. None of this crap will stick.

The Left is desperate. No other way to put it. They see the poll #s changing, and know that the race has already changed, and that within a day or two it could change a hell of a lot more.

The convention, for Obama, was a bright ray of sunshine that let a lot of people see what many had already seen -- the "empty suit" status. The Republican convention, OTOH, allowed viewers to see a fresh face that really wasn't unpleasant to look at.
