i had a first cousin and also a close friend both being told they needed immediate by pass, she had two heart attacks , he one heart attach. she 75 at the time he was 65 at the time. they opted to not have by pass , rather started exercise programs and carefully watched their diets. both are 13 years along without any difficulties.

i expect if you have the discipline to exercise and stick to a diet you may improve your health. They opted to take statins etc and regular exercise program.
