Independent analyses of the taxation and spending plans have all indicated that Obama's plans would result in less government debt than McCains, by significant amounts.

Sorry, but garbage in, garbage out.

Seriously, independent analysts can reasonable evaluate and compare their proposed tax plans. There's no way to cost their programs. And even if there were, they don't cost them for the out years, which is my area of concern.
