The market is opening up because the problem is over. <VBG> Fidelity and Wellington doubled their stakes in Fannie and Freddie stock recently. Several major brokerage firms had buy ratings as of Friday.

You are right about the arb. Most people don't understand that when the taxpayer decides to pay your debts, you don't default. You pay out fairly worthless dollars, but you don't default.

I see that both CEOs have been hired as consultants at huge salaries. I guess that's better than prison.
