Re- 'Excuse me but isn't this good for SKF? Other banks will tank on this news won't they? Don't you see this as a major failure in the system? Why would ANYBODY buy a bank stock now? I see SKF at 175.00, but hey I'm usually wrong.'

What's Slider always say?

'so it was written- so it was done' (VBG)

SKF down -8%

I understand your thinking- because in a way- the Treasury is admitting they lied (which they did) and this is 'systemic'. But was any of this anything that the market didn't already know and have priced in?

Everyone new Fannie & Freddies shareholders would be wiped out-and the bond holders would be guaranteed whole. It was a only a question of what the preferreds got?

SKF was down on Friday because I don't think this was a surprise.

The Bear Stearns bailout/take under/rescue rallied the financials- why wouldn't this one?

I thought gold and silver would pop +5% today- but not so far.

I bought TBT today- short bonds and a bet on higher rates. Just for a trade- because I think Bernanke will end up cutting rates.

Slider- any thoughts on that? What unleashes gold for the next run? Will there be a 'next' run? Or, is Roguedolphin right in predicting the end of the world- and should we all just follow Jimmy Buffett's advice and -

Get drunk and _ _ _ _ _ (that was a 5 letter word(vbg)?
