Oh I hope you do. Back when I had my children they did not have birthing rooms. With my own daughters or DIL's I was unable to go into the delivery room with them, the rules were stricter then, so I had a completely different feeling being able to attend the births of my great grandchildren. I felt it was kind of a bond with each of them. I think it is hard for me to explain the emotional process I felt and probably might be different for others, just don't know. Even if I don't live to see them grow too many years, I am happy and joyful for the experience. How those complete little bodies are developed in only nine months is like seeing a miracle happening in front of you when they come out. I have loved being a granny. Getting old is just an inconvenience and as hard as I try not to, it's still happening, so I have to accept it and go about my merry way. Off now to go bowling at noon to get some much needed exercise.
