Lane3; The incentives of Energy Star are indeed a positive idea for wise consumers. People that care about energy usage might pay a little attention to it - but I'll bet not much. People buy much more on impulse than they ever do on the fuzzy advantages of Energy Star. ....The idea of cradle to cradle is a paradigm change - not some fuzzy nibbling at the edges. To put a "garbage rating" next to the Energy Star rating will not change people and manufacturers thinking and behavior. steve
