Speaking before voters in Colorado Springs, the Republican vice presidential nominee claimed that lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had "gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers."

Palin doesn't understand how FNM works. I think some basic economic literacy is good to have in candidates. Any thinking American would want to know if she has requisite background to make an informed decisions about economic policy. Not understanding something so basic seems problematic, anybody here agree?
