The only strange thing was the way they did it.

Look, the campaign claims they knew about Bristol's pregnancy before they selected Sarah. If they did, the smart thing would be to get the announcement out of the way before the announcement. Otherwise, you risk making her family an issue. Which is what happened. I suppose that was their intent. But...

Unless their intent was to make her family an issue, it shows poor judgment.

Not that she traveled, but that she insisted on going back. Look, she is in her mid-40s with a diagnosed Down's. She was very high risk. Then once she started leaking, she traveled back to Alaska. Not only to Alaska, but to a small clinic that isn't equipped to deal with neonatal emergencies.

Again, it is a judgment issue.
