I think there are more pilots in Alaska than in any other state. There has to be - no roads. And the only way to reach these remote villages is by plane.

It is different there. When we go caribou hunting, we are flown out of Iliamna into the tundra about 100 miles NW. While that town has an airport, the cars have old, expired licenses because there is no way to get new ones! Everything must be flown in or via barge through Lake Iliamna - and that is expensive. It is a different way of life there.
