Ayers and Dorhen scare even Marty Peretz, yet the moderate left, which he represents, couldn't contain their scorn for Palin. Suicidal on their part. Knee-jerk cultural snobbery. They can't complain, after they let Soros and his money hijack the party.

Agree completely. I was really surprised at Marty Peretz. I expected more sense from him. The Dems are going to cut their own throats with this snobbery. Their party motto has become "We are for the little people - so shut up and listen to your betters."

McCain didn't have any place to go. Palin was a stupid lucky choice on his part, if she holds up over the next month or so.

Lucky for sure, but McCain did make his own luck here by being daring. He decided that he wanted to shake things up with an unconventional pick. Thank heavens it wasn't Lieberman. Now I love Joe Lieberman, but if you're leading a party you have to listen to them. Obama didn't listen to his party & put Hillary on the ticket, and McCain took double advantage of the mistake by selecting Palin.
