I think you're quite wrong in thinking people of faith don't believe evolution was and is taking place. They simply think that Darwinism doesn't explain everything. In truth, I don't think they even think about it that much even though the media flogs the notion. I guess there are some hold-outs that completely deny fossil records, etc. Probably about as many who deny the Holocaust.
