If you want a more youthful crop of candidates, there will likely be children involved.

If we don't want a glass ceiling for women, women cannot be prevented from aspiring to high level jobs because of child care issues.

If anyone is really about choice, then a family should have the option of choosing the manner in which child care responsibilities will be distributed.

It's really that simple.

Successfully managing the choice is another thing, but that will be true regardless of which partner has the high profile job and which shoulders the lion's share of child care.
