I'll say this before anyone else does, Palin is the new star. She can screw up on an interview, come out and say "I botched that one didn't I?", and her numbers would go up in the polls. She's real, she's got personality, Reagan all over again. And we know how stupid democrats looked going after Reagan each time... So go ahead and keep attacking the nice lady, hoping she'll fail somewhere along the way. When she does, you just increased her margin of victory in November.
