It is in the same ballpark that it was in when the gold bull market started. The ratio should rise from here whether it is with a recovery in the stocks or whether gold falls more than the stocks from this point on.
There is some technical damage here that needs to be corrected in the next few days. If it is not then we are unfortunately probably headed for a deflationary collapse a la 1930-32. IMO the Fed will try to avert this. Watch silver for direction...if it turns in the next day or so we have a major low and we will start a hyperinflation. If it does not than the whole market may cave 1000s of points in short order. I always saw this as a potential but one of very low probability.
Gold at new low...support at $765, $750, $740, $730. I would not mind seeing silver @ $10ish and gold around $750 in the morning.
