Like you, I didn't get exercised by the comment at first. (My husband told me that I need to stop being so neutral at first...lol.) But the more I thought about it, particularly coupled with the stinky old fish reference (which could be a reference to McCain), I thought it might have been a deliberate dig. Obama has a bunch of childish people advising him, and a comment like that would be exactly up their alley. He also plodded his way through to deliver it. [He should eschew joke telling as he is rigid as a board.] I also think he can't take criticism, so he'd be willing to engage in jabs. Who knows? The bottom line is that he was a fool to say it and even have this conversation at all!
