Andy: They're giving away the obesity and diabetes part of the business for double digit royalties (I believe). Henry: What was the potential market for Targretin in the diabetes arena? Do I remember $1B per year of sales? If LGND gets 10 -15% royalty that would be $100M - $150M per year in income. Far short of the $1B in sales. However, another way to look at it is how much would they have netted to the bottom line for that $1B in sales. Perhaps Robinson believes its about what he'll get in royalties from LLY, hence a wash. Also, there's no need to spend $$$ to setup a production facility. Scusami
