From Syquests new website.

The good news is that they will be formally announcing the Rocket Technology (a 4.7GB HD using Magneto-resistive heads) at Comdex in Las Vegas in November.

They also have some analysis that show that the high capacity removable disk drive market will grow to over $9B by the year 2000.

The bad news is that there is now over 62M shares outstanding and management is asking stockholder approval for issuing shares from 120m to 240m.

IMO Syquest as an investment has definetly hit bottom. New management has turned the company around. In order for Syquest to succeed, does not require that Iomega fail. The market will be big enough for two or three competitors. Syquest will be a huge success if it can capture even a 25% of this market by year 2000.
