I think you may be on to something here VP:

Personally I believe the Bric economies and other emerging nations, will continue to grow enough to put pressure on commodity prices. Right now the N.A. markets certainly do not believe that. I think two things will change that, one slow accumulation of data showing emerging market growth and forcing a revision of the outlook. The second will be continued acquisition, or rather, strategic securing of future supply of commodities by these countries, particularly China, that will reinforce the message that mine production has not grown fast enough to meet demand.
