Hi Seth,
This release today just another example of our companies (past)
stealth products.
RE: "MRVC backbone of Gigabit Ethernet"? press release last week.
If companies around the world need these products...who they gonna call...
I know, can't list all the companies involved but how many backbones are therein this business ? Also with the way the market has reacted
to earnings releases lately, if MRVC doesn't blowout the "Anal-ysts"
where do you think our stock price range will be?

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1997--InnovaCom,
Inc. (OTC BB: MPEG), announced that it was the exclusive provider of
compressed video applications to the Gigabit Ethernet Alliance's
recent Technology Demonstration.
The Alliance's Technology Demonstration, which was held at the
recent NetWorld+Interop Show in Atlanta, was the world's largest
interoperable multi-vendor Gigabit Ethernet network.
"We were pleased to have InnovaCom provide a key application in
our Technology Demonstration. The over 20 companies who had Gigabit
Ethernet products in the network could access InnovaCom's compressed
video applications as they showcased their products' high-capacity
capabilities," said Tony Lee, chairman of the Gigabit Ethernet
Alliance.
"The combination of InnovaCom's video streams and our members'
Gigabit Ethernet products provide the high-quality MPEG-2 compression
technology with the high-bandwidth network capacity organizations are
looking to deploy. We thank InnovaCom for its tremendous efforts and
for providing us with its state-of-the-art technology."
Industry research organization Dataquest projects in excess of $3
billion in revenues from sales of Gigabit Ethernet products by the
year 2000.
Mark C. Koz, InnovaCom's chairman and president, said: "Demand
for video over networks will be economically met with convergence of
high quality MPEG-2 video compression and the increasing available
bandwidth provided by emerging technologies such as Gigabit Ethernet.
"InnovaCom is pleased to be reinforcing its relationships through
The Alliance with such companies as Digital Equipment and Sun
Microsystems, and beginning relationships with other members of The
Alliance, which includes such companies as Silicon Graphics,
Hewlett-Packard, Cisco Systems, Compaq Computer, Intel and Apple
Computer, with the goal of identifying profitable opportunities in
the field of compressed video over networks."
The Gigabit Ethernet Alliance consists of over 120 companies
whose purpose is to support the IEEE 802.3z standards effort, to
demonstrate product interoperability, and to foster communications
between suppliers and consumers of Gigabit Ethernet products.
At Interop, InnovaCom successfully demonstrated the feasibility
of streaming numerous channels of 10 Mbps MPEG-2 high quality video
over the "Gigabit Ethernet backbone" both from encoded video data on
various platform servers, including InnovaCom's new TeraStream
server, as well as low latency video from cameras throughout the
show.
Separately, the company named Dr. John Champlin, M.D., to its
board of directors. Dr. Champlin is the owner and president of the
Med Center Medical Clinic in Carmichael, Calif. Prior to that he was
an emergency department director and previous to that he was in
private practice. He is also associate clinical professor, family
practice, at the University of California at Davis. He earned his
M.D. at the University of Florida.
"John Champlin has done extensive work in the application of
computers and video in the field of medicine and brings valuable
added perspective to the company as we develop our telemedical
technology," Mr. Koz said.
During the past year InnovaCom has completed marketing agreements
with or designed MPEG-2 product configurations for several companies.
They are:

-- Telia and Elmentel -- InnovaCom and Sweden's two major
communications organizations continue to cooperate in the testing and
development of a multimedia set top box and associated video
compression technologies for home video-on-demand applications.
-- Sun Microsystems -- Design of an MPEG-2 encoding board for its
UltraSPARC workstation.
-- ESS Technology -- Joint development of MPEG-2 products for DVD
authoring systems and set top boxes.
-- Digital Equipment Corporation -- Cross licensing agreement to
develop and share program interfaces for MPEG-2 encoding on Windows
and Windows NT.
-- Mitsubishi -- Joint development of a DVD-R recording system.
-- Litton's Fibercom Division -- Integration of InnovaCom's DV
2100 MPEG-2 board in its CAMVision-2 network video delivery system.
