Admittedly, people in attendance took the remark as a slur against Palin. I, like many others, however, just don't believe that Obama meant it that way, just as I don't believe that McCain was calling Clinton a pig when he used a similar statement. IMO, anyone under the incredible pressure such candidates must suffer is going to make gaffes now & then.
