My favorite sector is still Renewable Energy. We have had a great blow down of all of these stocks and we are close to a trading bottom if it has not happened already. My favorites still for the long run (10 years plus) are FSLR, SPWR, Vestas and SMA in Europe, GEX as a fund and a smattering of a few others. I'll work up a list and PM you. I've been slowly accumulating more here the last few days but trying to keep some powder dry. We are crossing the "valley of death" in the PV space in the next year and a half. Once we get to grid parity sales will explode and the survivors won't be able to keep up.

It takes a strong stomach to buy this stuff and with knowledge comes opportunity. We are going to have a "gift" for a few years (if you can call $85 to $105 oil a gift!) but then it's onwards and upwards for the long run.

On the political scene.. if McCain gets elected all bets are off. I'd look for oil to break $300 much earlier than Charlie Maxwell thinks.

JMHO
