Now that's the Obama I want to see on the campaign trail. It's well past time to say this. And say it often. The McCain folk know they will lose and lose badly if the election is about the issues, so they manufacture silly, clearly lying stuff to generate media controversy. Call them on it. Characterize their campaign for what is. And continue to discuss what he will do on the issues. Eventually, it might force even the McCain folk to discuss issues.
