Last week I saw charts in "American Shipper" suggesting the capacity for container vessels is going to increase over 50% in the next 3-years due to the orders that are in process.

Rates are going to be low on the container side starting in May 2009 as a result (Annual contracts generally renew in May).
Spot rates will probably start dropping in November when seasonal weakness sets in combined with lower bunker (fuel) prices.
