which they are less likely to do if you give them a very large tax increase, or otherwise try to grab money from them or push their income down in the name of increasing equality...

A question I would ask to all the people who are so worked up over inequality, how do they expect, not just now but in the long run, to "pull the bottom up", rather than just pull the top down? Do they actually expect that pulling to top down, makes those at the bottom better off? Why would they think such a thing?
