I'm always a big believe in letting sinking ships sink. Bailouts almost always mean you and I foot the bill, the rich guys walk away rich, and the mess linger for several years longer than it would have if we'd just let the market sink the ship. But welcome to the new Republican/Neocon Party. They are the party of bailouts, big government, massive deficits, doubling our debt to $10 trillion, and deregulation of our financial industry so that the crooks can benefit. What we're seeing now is the result of all of that.
