To be completely open before I rant a bit, I have voted republican for all my life (70+) and intend to do so again. What I can't stand is why anyone sees the need to introduce politics into an interesting technical thread. Regardless of which side of the slate you cast your vote on, the checks and balances that exist in our political system preclude any winning party from making changes that could be deemed dramatic when looking at the big picture over the long haul. In other words, regardless who wins the political game, I think we can find a way to compete with the rest of the planet. So let's get on with finding out which companies have the best solution for our becoming energy independent.
