Shalom, given the extremely limited facts about Kent's son's encounter with the pastor, there isn't enough to go on to make a judgement against him. I think that the fact that he asked to be invited to the wedding is the largest piece of evidence, from what Kent said, that the pastor was at the same time doing his best to be friendly and gracious without going against the scriptural admonition to avoid being unequally yoked. I, too, wondered if the pastor examined Kent's son as to faith in Jesus Christ. My guess was that he did, somehow, get the answer to that question early in their meeting. John
