It's going to be a very interesting race. One uncluttered by substance if what is happening now is any guide. They are never about "substance." What are we supposed to do? Read each parties "laundry list" of ideas and vote for the one that appeals to us most? The President proposes, Congress disposes. This is about character. Which of the two do you want to trust with the next five years of this country's overseas activities? That is the only real thing the President controls. When it comes to our war with Islamic fundamentalism, McCain realises that we are in a Religious war with fanatics. Obama believes the Chomsky view, that we have done evil overseas and need to be nicer to these poor people who are attacking us because they are poor. MeCain wants to kill the bastards. Obama wants to give them food stamps. Easy choice for me.
