You nailed it. The Republicans have successfully distracted all of America from the issues. That was the genius of the Palin pick. We now have a 24/7 news cycle on Palin, her gaffes, her scandals, Palin all day every day. But no one is talking about how the economy is sputtering and we're all poorer for it. It's genius, because if the discourse turns to the issues, then the Republicans lose. They can't defend 8 years worth of failed governance and policies. So they distract us from that discussion. It's working.
