I wonder how much of the trading is mutual funds, pension funds, trust departments, insurance companies, and so on, where whoever is writing the orders has little personal stake in the money involved. There is probably a good deal of confidence now that either the Treasury or the Fed will prop up anyone and everyone, somehow, and that all will be well in the end.
