If some Christians would vote for him for reasons of affinity, they would certainly be tossing their vote astray. I only mentioned he made the change for political expediency because it does show his depth. ;^) That is all. I wouldn't care what religion a politician follows. They have to leave that in their hearts and not in their decision making or at least they should.

I am not a person who could identify a conventional religion that reflects my spirituality. I do , however find some off shoots of certain religions very distasteful. Primarily the Wahhabi Muslims and churches like Obama's former church which preach lies and subvert good people everywhere.

People like the good Reverend Wright are nothing but despicable politicians who have ran for office in the church rather than politics, but play the same money game.

I wish it were as easy to change them all to Jimmy Stewart types from Mr. Smith goes to washington, but that is a crazy as believing in a Space Mother Wheel like in the Nation of Islam.

All said and done, I just wanted to point out that his "religion" and "beliefs" were formed for political purpose. I wish it were that easy for me to find such spirtually convenient nestings.

Now the damage he and Michelle want to do, is what most would consider the devils work. Speaking in the vernacular of course. His beliefs are very similar to the Nation of Islam beliefs as far as they relate to politics. In fact the bow tied, sun glassed folks you saw in the church videos are remarkably like the dress in the NOIs Fruit of Islam and they stand behind the reverend during service in the very same manner as do the FOI "Fruit of Islam" do during NOI services.
Just things to note. I am not being argumentative. Just sharing what I see.

Does it matter WHY he chose any religion?
