As it turns out, the commissioner that Palin fired was a big activist for abused women in Alaska. Apparently, Alaska has one of the highest rape rates in the country and the highest rate of women murdered by men. Some women in Alaska are not happy.

What's also interesting is she praised the commisioner in May only to turn around and fire him in early July.
