That's exactly what I posted earlier, that we need to put subsidies in place that don't choose the alternative fuel or the technology. The key thing is oil independence. So provide incentives for using any alternative fuel other than oil. Then let the market figure the rest out. The only other action I'd take is to remove all direct subsidies from oil companies. My comment about oil security being a subsidy is true, but I don't know how to fix that, except to hasten the day we are oil independent.
