For ten years George Obama lived rough. However he now hopes to try to sort his life out by starting a course at a local technical college.

He has only met his famous older brother twice - once when he was just five and the last time in 2006 when Senator Obama was on a tour of East Africa and visited Nairobi.

The Illinois senator mentions his brother in his autobiography, describing him in just one passing paragraph as a "beautiful boy with a rounded head".

Of their second meeting, George Obama said: "It was very brief, we spoke for just a few minutes. It was like meeting a complete stranger."

If there's anything that has me questioning having Obama as President is how can we expect him to show any compassion and concern for our lives, when his own half-brother is living in destitution.

And I can relate to this because I have a "black-sheep" for a brother as well. He's always in trouble of his own making.. Yet, despite our public embarrassment at his actions, we still hold out hope (and "selective" help) for him in assisting him to get his life together.

But here's Obama's brother living in squalor in a Kenyan shanty town, ashamed to admit that he's related to the Democratic candidate.

Hell... I'd be ashamed to admit any relationship too..
