If she doesn't know that the dominant theme of Bush's foreign policy is preemptive action to root out evildoer regimes to stop threats to America, and that it's called the "Bush Doctrine", then she knows much less about the "big picture" than a lot of college seniors and every foreign affairs graduate student I ever knew.

But apparently even basic briefing book knowledge is not required by some to consider someone ready to step in as President. Which is exactly what a VP has to be ready to do at any instant.

She isn't.
