FYI, it is an obligation of the USA to defend any member of NATO that is attacked. Are you not familiar what NATO is? Are you not familiar with what a treaty is?

Neither georgia nor ukraine are part of NATO, nor should they be. That's exactly the kind of frightful prospect the republicans represent...Let's go and setup a conflict with Russia over regions of the world where their people are a majority. This woman is a cynical stunt...she doesn't have a clue.

Her response to a question about her insight about Russia?

"They're our next-door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."

If it wasn't sad it'd be funny.

Russia did not have any defense treaty with Yugoslavia. So there is no parallel to defending a NATO member.

Right...we don't with georgia in the NATO sense either. Still, they occupied the airport in Pristina when NATO went in to stop the madness and we had some tense moments there. Those are the little incidents that turn into catastrophic disasters.
