Because they voted for it - if you follow the history you'll see they've gone back on forth on the issue for years - since 1948.


From what I've read, Alaskans have voted twice to ban the procedure and the state governors including Palin keep invoking emergency measures to continue the procedure.

It's not genocide as they have licenses and the bag limit is set by the state i.e. not unlimited - but in my mind it's not ethical hunting and should be banned - except in a few circumstances I mentioned before.

If the process is as informal as bringing the forepaw of a wolf for payment, I don't trust that any numbers are followed closely. I suspect this has become a kind of sport in Alaska.
