Sadly in much of the country it's "cool" to have a quick lip over being thoughtful and calm. It'a also 'cool' to scrape through college getting shitfaced all the time (not that I didn't have fun too... but I worked my butt off as well), end up with a degree in something and just wing everything else. People look down on educations now... "ivory tower" haters and all that (of course there is some truth to that whole argument), and now it's just gotten much more intense. Lot's of people actually dislike intelligent sounding people.. they dn't trust them. Hope all these folks are OK: wunderground.com DAK
